Where you live, and in what type of housing, play an important part in student life. For some students it is integral to their success in studies.
The university, therefore, has always aimed to provide the best possible range and standard of accommodation to meet the needs of our students. Halls of Residence are available to students at each campus - offering high-specification study bedrooms equipped to the latest standards. We can also help you find privately rented accommodation.
The university guarantees that all new students - both first-year undergraduates and direct entrants into other years - will be offered a place to live, either in a hall of residence or in university-approved housing.
The guarantee applies to any new full-time student entering at the start of the standard academic session in September and whose application is received by 1 September of that year. This guarantee does not, however, apply to students attending Partner Colleges.

Applying for Halls of Residence 2010/2011
A new on-line service for both new, prospective and continuing, returning students will be available early in 2010. Continuing student applications for the next session 2010-2011 will open in March 2010. The timetable for the application/allocation process is available here.
