Students with Hotmail or Windows Live Mail accounts

Please be aware that we have had significant trouble trying to send e-mail to Hotmail and Windows Live Mail addresses. This is due to the filters in place on those services, preventing us from sending the volume of e-mails necessary to communicate with all students.

We are in contact with Microsoft and hope the situation can be resolved promptly. However, we strongly recommend using an alternative address when completing any university forms. Other free e-mail providers, such as Gmail, appear to be unaffected.

Where you live, and in what type of housing, play an important part in student life. For some students it is integral to their success in studies.

The university, therefore, has always aimed to provide the best possible range and standard of accommodation to meet the needs of our students. Halls of Residence are available to students at each campus - offering high-specification study bedrooms equipped to the latest standards. We can also help you find privately rented accommodation.

The university guarantees that all new students - both first-year undergraduates and direct entrants into other years - will be offered a place to live, either in a hall of residence or in university-approved housing.

The guarantee applies to any new full-time student entering at the start of the standard academic session in September and whose application is received by 1 September of that year. This guarantee does not, however, apply to students attending Partner Colleges.
