What happens over the Christmas and Easter vacations?

Although the University has vacation periods in the teaching timetable and also closes completely for the Christmas and Easter holidays, the Halls of Residence remain open throughout the session; resident students have contracts that run without interruption and their rooms remain theirs to use at both Christmas and Easter. Residents may find, however, the range of services and support is reduced over the Christmas close-down period – but full information will be provided in advance of the vacations.
