How secure are the halls?

The Halls of Residence are as secure as it is possible to make them and all benefit from CCTV cameras. Avery Hill Village benefits from 24 hour security patrols and all flats are governed by entry-phones. The Medway Halls of Residence benefit from on-site security at the Medway campus. The halls near the Greenwich campus, are sited off campus and in the public streets of metropolitan London. They all have secured entrances and Cutty Sark Hall and the McMillan Student Village have a security staff presence. In all cases, students are advised to take steps to ensure their own safety by keeping doors and windows locked, by ensuring that they travel with a friend late at night and by not allowing strangers to “tailgate” into the hall.
