Information for Residents
The University has opted in recent years to move away from traditional Halls of Residence in favour of modern, purpose-built residences in which students live within shared flats, often with friends - other students of their own choice. Students may also live in houses or flats off campus where they live more independently.
One of the consequences of this decision is the expectation that residents, as adults, will be able to control their own environment and decide, amongst themselves, an acceptable lifestyle. It is also hoped that they will, in the process, be able to control the excesses of behaviour which can often become so disturbing in the traditional Halls.
All residents sign a residential agreement and, therefore, agree to abide not only by the normal conditions of a licence or tenancy, but by the University's Regulations and Disciplinary Procedures as well. Further details can be found by following the links below:
