About the School of Law & the Centre for Criminology

The School of Law offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in law and criminology. We also offer various postgraduate research opportunities and a pro bono legal advisory service.

The School has a record of providing an educationally stimulating environment and delivering highly satisfied students (for example, our LLB (Hons) Law programme was ranked No.1 in Law in the London region for Student Satisfaction in both the 2017 and 2016 Complete University Guides), equipped with the skills, knowledge and motivation required for success across a wide range of careers.

The School provides a vibrant and dynamic environment within which to study. A team of dedicated, enthusiastic and approachable staff deliver an exciting range of programmes and students at every academic stage enjoy a high level of tutor contact. Throughout their time with us students are encouraged to develop their knowledge, their skills and to interact with others and make the most of the range of resources and extra-curricular opportunities available within both the School and the wider university.

The School is based on the beautiful Greenwich Maritime Campus at the Old Royal Naval College on the south bank of the Thames at Greenwich. In addition to the stunning campus - which, with its splendid historic buildings will not fail to impress - the School is ideally placed for access to Central London, the City and Canary Wharf. Proximity to these established legal and business hubs has helped forge a range of successful relationships which the School has developed with a number of major legal, financial and public sector justice organisations. The benefits of these links are demonstrated throughout the School's excellent LLB employability programme which provides many unique opportunities for its undergraduate LLB Law students. In addition, both law and criminology students benefit from access to the University's employability team.

With central London within easy reach, students also benefit from the wide range of cultural opportunities and recreational and leisure activities on offer in one of the most exciting and diverse cities in the world.

Whatever form your legal or criminological interests and ambitions take, we very much look forward to welcoming you to the School.
