Get free legal advice from the University of Greenwich, Legal Advice Centre on a range of legal issues including:

  • Employment law
  • Family law
  • Small business matters
  • Personal independence payment - form filling service
  • Housing & leasehold disputes

Trained student advisers work closely with volunteer lawyers to provide free legal advice to members of the public and small businesses. If the Centre is not able to assist we provide referral information to alternative sources of help.

Making an appointment is easy:

  • You can call the service on 020 8331 9947 and leave a message or speak to one of our trained student advisers - our phones are manned 9-5pm Monday to Thursdays
  • We are closed for lunch between 1-2pm and all day Fridays
  • You can email the advice centre anytime at

Please note that the service is only open during University of Greenwich term-time.

Clients with appointments: Clients with confirmed appointments are asked to report to reception in the University's Stockwell Street Building (Building 11 on the campus plan) and ask for the Legal Advice Centre.
