The art of selling is the subject of the University of Greenwich's free Big Picture seminar on Wednesday 2 December.

Karen Landles, Behavioural Insight Director for Exterion Media, a major outdoor advertising company, will share her insights and experience in her talk, Sales is all about solutions. The event is open to all and registration is essential, with details below.

"Sales isn't about being the loudest, it's about having solutions," Karen says. "In business everyone sells, from coming in at the starting point to being an international CEO. From corporates and SMEs to social enterprises, we will look at the importance of communication, confidence and characteristics. Sales is fundamentally about communicating with people in all their rich diversity."

Karen has set up and run sales teams across the UK, and has a track record of turning around struggling divisions. She is also an expert in the areas of graduate recruitment programmes, social enterprises and charities.

As a member of the Camden Climate Change Alliance Board, she speaks on engagement, as well as about environmental and financial sustainability.

The event takes place at 5pm at the Greenwich Campus. Run by the university's Business School, the Big Picture seminars attract high-profile and leading figures from media, commerce and industry, who share their tips and expertise. The events have proved to be hugely popular among university staff, students and the public.
