Big Picture - Nic Vine, 12 Oct 2016Change and 'making it happen' will be the subject of a public lecture at the University of Greenwich.

Nic Vine, author, lecturer, project manager and strategist, will give his talk on Wednesday 12 October.
He says: "London, our country, the whole world: there are a lot of things we'd like to change, and a lot we need to change. From climate change to terrorism and air pollution, and from political leadership to migration and the economy, there are plenty of challenges. The public, the citizenry, the electorate are more knowledgeable and involved than ever before, due to social media."

Nic will discuss the ways in which individuals and groups are motivated, why and how to communicate differently with different groups, and the extent to which trust is fundamental for people working together.

He will illustrate with examples from his recently published book, and from current media stories. "We are all change agents now," he adds.

Nic Vine has spent more than three decades working in public, private and third sector organisations. He has been described as "an expert practitioner in change management who is able to roll up his sleeves and get things done".

Run by the university's Business School, the Big Picture seminar series gives students, staff and the public an opportunity to hear expert speakers. Subjects include entrepreneurship, leadership and management, the economy and the media.
