Big Picture - Colleen Harris, 26 Oct 2016Branding, reputation and effective leadership will take a royal flavour during a talk at the university by Colleen Harris, a former public relations adviser to the Prince of Wales.

In a seminar on Wednesday 26 October, which is open to all, she will speak on Winning the Personality Wars: Reputation Building for 21st Century Leaders.

A communications professional and writer, Colleen spent 30 years developing and managing strategies for government ministers, the royal family and a range of organisations. She has served as Press Secretary to the Prince of Wales, Prince William and Prince Harry, and as a Senior Press Officer to Baroness Thatcher.

Among other roles, Colleen has been Director of Communications at the Commission for Racial Equality and Director of Strategy and Communications at the Equality Commission. A trained teacher, she supports projects that work with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Run by the university's Business School, the popular Big Picture seminar series gives high-profile speakers a chance to share their expert insights. Subjects include entrepreneurship, leadership and management, the economy and the media.

The event, which is open to all, takes place at the Greenwich Campus from 5pm. Questions will follow the main talk.
