Dr Zhu is a Lecturer in Network Science jointly affiliated with the Centre for Business Network Analysis and the Department of International Business and Economics of the University of Greenwich.

Before joining the University of Greenwich, he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca in Italy from 2013-2017 and a Visiting Research Fellow at the Stockholm China Economic Research Institute of the Stockholm School of Economics in Sweden in 2017.

He obtained a PhD in Economics from the Sam M. Walton College of Business of the University of Arkansas in the United States in 2013.
