Dr Jithendran Kokkranikal is a Senior Lecturer in Tourism Management within the Department of Marketing, Events and Tourism. Dr Kokkranikal is also the Programme Leader of the MA and Postgraduate Diploma in International Tourism Management. Dr Kokkranikal's research and teaching interests relate to tourism development with particular focus on entrepreneurship, human resources and sustainability. Dr Kokkranikal gained his PhD from the University of Strathclyde, also holding an MSc in Tourism from Strathclyde University, an MA in Personnel Management and Social Work from Madras University and a BA from Loyola College. Before joining Greenwich, Dr Kokkranikal was a Lecturer in Tourism and Programme Director at the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management (formerly The Scottish Hotel School), University of Strathclyde, where he led and taught a range of undergraduate and postgraduate tourism and hospitality courses. Earlier, Dr Kokkranikal worked as an Assistant Professor in Tourism and Programme Coordinator at the Kerala Institute of Tourism and Travel Studies (KITTS), India.
