Creative Writing Combined Degrees

The courses in the Creative Writing combined programmes cover a range of disciplines including fiction, poetry and performance writing. Particular emphasis is placed on the development of practical skills and techniques to enable students to develop as writers and explore the writing process.

The courses will train students in working to deadlines and re-drafting and editing their own material. It is an excellent way of acquiring a number of communication skills that can be used in many fields. It also offers students time and space to develop creatively, should they want to pursue a writing career.

Creative Writing courses are taught by the School of Humanities & Social Sciences at the Greenwich campus. We make use of the historic surroundings as a source for writing, and London as a whole acts as an inspiration in many ways, with trips to galleries, museums and places of interest built into our courses. Depending on your selected combination you may be required to travel between campuses.
