Statistics Combined Degrees

Statistics is concerned with the collection, analysis and interpretation of data. The problems and techniques of statistics are wide-ranging, so career opportunities are extensive. For example, statisticians work in market research, business analysis and forecasting, medical, health or social science research, quality control, environmental and ecological science, and econometrics.

This programme provide a grounding in the techniques and principles professional statisticians commonly use. It also allows you to combine statistics with subjects such as business, law, psychology or a language. The degree is approved by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA), subject to subsequent employment involving the application of mathematical knowledge, the programme can be used in part fulfilment of the requirements for Chartered Mathematician (CMath) status.

Statistics courses are taught by the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at the Greenwich Campus. Depending on your selected combination you may be required to travel between campuses.
