Other Access Routes

In addition to welcoming students with access qualifications, we are strongly committed to providing higher education for students with no formal qualifications such as A-levels or their equivalents and who are ready to study at degree/diploma level. For example, you may wish to claim some credit for informal prior learning that you have undertaken through paid work or in a voluntary capacity.

Alternatively, you may have undertaken a distance learning programme. The university will consider and acknowledge all learning that has provided an appropriate foundation for studying with us.

After the publication of A-level results in August each year, we run an advice centre for people still looking for a place in higher education. The centre can be contacted free on 0800 005 006.
