The programme of works

  • Planning application

    July - October 2015

    Submit the planning application and application for listed building consent to the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

  • Detailed design phase

    August - December 2015

  • Staff relocated from Dreadnought Building

    September 2015

  • Enabling works

    January – April 2016

    This involves: 

    • Full surveys of the building
    • Relocation of power supplies
    • Minor structural works
    • Demolition works
    • Basement dig

  • Temporary accommodation installed in Dreadnought grounds

    October 2015

  • Main contract works

    October 2016 - April 2018

    This involves:

    • Refurbishment of  the building
    • The replacement of services
    • Construction of new courtyard atrium and mezzanine floors
    • Creation of gym, Student Union spaces, learning spaces and staff offices
    • External works

  • University of Greenwich fit out

    April 2018 - September 2018

  • Dreadnought Student Hub opens
