LRDC is an international centre for excellence for the improvement of literacy practice in schools and colleges. Working in collaboration with teachers across the phases of schooling, it undertakes CPD projects, courses and workshops designed to enrich literacy teaching and learning. In addition it undertakes research into the teaching of literacy across the age phases and is currently involved in a number of funded projects. LRDC also facilitates opportunities for professionals to work together to discuss, target and plan for enrichment.
