This safeguarding hub is for both academics and practitioners who want to work together to improve outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.

This exciting initiative is a multi-professional collaborative forum that seeks to promote best safeguarding practice to inform outcomes for children, young people and their families. The Safeguarding Hub brings together (both virtually and in person) professionals from both academic and practice backgrounds that have a remit for safeguarding the welfare of children and young people. In so doing, the Safeguarding Hub enables practitioners to access and share expert knowledge about their practice which will potentially help identify vulnerability and prevent neglect and abuse of children and young people.

The Hub offers opportunity to network in a field of practice that whilst being everybody's responsibility has many complexities. The Hub will bring a range of opportunities to make a difference.

Our focus is the promotion of best practice based on the notion that best practice is underpinned by evidence at all times.

We are committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people. The University of Greenwich has a strong track record in the provision of Safeguarding and Child Protection Education and Training and has established research expertise in this field.
