Amanda Adegboye

Amanda holds a MSc and PhD degree in Epidemiology with over 10 years of experience in Public Health. She completed her first degree in Human Nutrition at Rio de Janeiro State University in Brazil. In 2001, she did a postgraduate training in nutrition and infectious diseases at Evandro Chagas Hospital/ Research Centre in Brazil. In 2006, she did an exchange PhD programme in Sweden (Obesity Unit at Karolinska Institute).

Having previously worked at a number of higher education institutions both nationally and abroad, she maintains a wide network of collaborations in Denmark, Brazil, USA and UK. She obtained her PgCert in Higher Education from the University of Westminster.

From 2014 to 2017, Amanda worked as Senior Lecturer in International Public Health & Nutrition at University of Westminster, London. There, Amanda had various responsibilities including being leader for the Food, Nutrition and Public Health research group, course leader on postgraduate research methods and project, elected member of the faculty research committee and supervisor of several undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Amanda has a strong background in quantitative methods, systematic reviews, design of public health interventions and service evaluation (impact and process evaluation). She is a registered Public Health Nutritionist and an Associate Member of the Faculty of Public Health of the Royal Colleges of Physicians. Amanda is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
