Shashi Ravi Suman Rudrangi, PhD student of Professor Steve Wicks and Dr Bruce Alexander has been appointed as the new Chair of the Students Association of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences Great Britain (SAPS).

Shashi has joined SAPS as a representative from the University of Greenwich in 2013. Later, he was elected as a board member and served SAPS as its Webpage Editor and Co-Chair for the year 2014-15.  
 
Shashi says that, 'I have joined SAPS because of the excellent opportunities the group provides to network with fellow scientists and also to extend my sphere of learning. Being selected as the Chair, I am happy to represent the University of Greenwich at the association and will be committed to helping SAPS prosper!'

The Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences is the professional body for the Pharmaceutical Sciences in United Kingdom. The mission of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences is to champion innovation and opportunity in Pharmaceutical Sciences for the delivery of medicines.

The Students Association of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences is a student-led platform designed to help connect, represent and develop aspiring scientists. The committee is run by students with backgrounds in pharmaceutical science and related disciplines and aims to help students from a wide range of backgrounds to connect with like-minded individuals from both academia and industry.
