Clearing HotlineScholarship packages worth £7,500 are helping attract highly qualified applicants through Clearing at Greenwich this year.

The university’s High Achievement Scholarships, worth £2,500 a year for every year of study, are available to every full time home or EU undergraduates student (conditions apply) coming to Greenwich with A-level grades of ABB or equivalent.

Over 80 staff, as well as academics from across the university’s Faculties, have been taking calls since 7am today. They had taken over 2,000 calls by noon and that number is set to soar with the Clearing Room due to close at 8pm.

Beverley Woodhams, Head of Central Recruitment for the university, says: “We’ve received more applications, confirmed more places and attracted better-qualified students than last year. Although we have fewer places in Clearing than last year, we are making offers to well-qualified applicants.

“There are still some places available on some great courses in Science, Humanities, Engineering and Computing but availability varies, so my advice is to call us on 020 8331 9000. All our Clearing Line staff are students and many came through Clearing so they realise the importance of giving clear advice quickly.

“In recent years we’ve found that more students than ever realise that Clearing is a great way to apply for a university place. So if you’ve just got your results, or changed your plans, call us now at the University of Greenwich Clearing Line.”
