Lord MonksTrends in modern capitalism and their effects on society will be looked at in the next University of Greenwich Big Picture seminar.

Lord John Monks will examine factors such as globalisation and the migration of people and jobs and ask if trade unions or the government can counter this, and if so how?

The talk, Inequality, the City and Trade Unions, is the latest Big Picture Seminar from the university’s, is on Wednesday 5 March 2014, 5pm-7pm.

Lord Monks is the former general secretary of both the Trades Union Congress and the European Trade Union Confederation.

Big Picture seminars are based at the Greenwich Campus and are free to attend. They have been proved to be hugely popular, and registration in advance is essential: To register for a place at this event please click here.
