A2836-big-pic-des-wilsonA lifetime of campaigning will be discussed by the man who launched the homeless charity Shelter, in the latest Big Picture seminar from the University of Greenwich Business School.

A journalist and Public Relations expert, Des Wilson has been at the forefront of some of the most memorable campaigns of recent years. On Wednesday 12 March (from 5pm to 7pm) he presents Reflections based on over 30 years in campaigning and public affairs.

As well as Shelter, Des has also launched Friends of the Earth. Other notable names on his CV include: the Royal Shakespeare Company; Citizen Action, which led to the Campaign for Freedom of Information; and the Liberal Party. He ran Paddy Ashdown’s General Election Campaign of 1992, which resulted in him winning PR Week’s award for the industry’s outstanding individual of 1992.

Big Picture seminars are based at the Greenwich Campus and are free to attend.
