Applying for a Foundation Degree
What do I need to begin?
In general, you do not need particular prior qualifications, but must show the ability and motivation to succeed. Previous work and other experience will be considered, as well as educational achievements.
For school or college leavers, one or more A Levels or vocational qualification at level 3 is normally expected. An Advanced Apprenticeship also meets entry requirements.
If you have significant experience, it may be possible to accredit this formally towards a fast-tracked foundation degree.
How do I apply?
For a part-time foundation degree, you need to complete a University Application Form. For a printed copy please contact the university's Enquiry Unit on tel: 0800 005 006 or e-mail courseinfo@gre.ac.uk.
For a full-time foundation degree, you need to apply through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). For further information, visit the UCAS website www.ucas.ac.uk.
Some bespoke foundation degrees are only for employees, e.g. the Primary Care Assistants Foundation Degree.
If the Foundation degree you are interested in is offered in one of our partner colleges, you are advised to contact the college for the most up to date information and further advice about how to apply.
