Microsoft Office 365 for staff and students

The University has launched Office 365 for staff. Office 365 is a set of tools allowing you to create, edit, manage and share Microsoft documents. You now have access to MS Office programs for free for the duration of your employment, with the license linked to your University account.

You can download the latest version of Office via the Microsoft Portal at

https://login.microsoftonline.com using your University e-mail address: (e.g. ab123@gre.ac.uk)

The subscription includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive and more, as well as access to Office Online, and 1 Terabyte of storage for your files. These products can be accessed from a web browser on your computer and on a range of apps for mobile devices.

You can get up to five free downloads of Office for PC or Mac. You can also run Office Mobile on up to five devices using Android, iPhone or Windows Phone OS. Installation instructions are available from:

Please note that Microsoft have recently released Office 2016 for both Mac OS and Windows platforms. Outlook 2016 is currently NOT compatible with the University staff e-mail system. Please see the instructions on the staff advantage page for more information.
