Information and Library Services
Information and Library Services provides the following main services to staff and students of the University:
- Corporate Information Systems
- Information and Communications Technology - infrastructure and support, including Classroom Support
- Learning Services - University Libraries and Student Computing Support
The Service is led by the Director of Information and Library Services supported by the Heads of the main services.
In recognition of the importance of the University partnerships with a number of Colleges both within the UK and overseas we have a specialist Off-Campus Service providing Contact and Remote Support (OSCARS) for students and staff at Partner Colleges. This unit is also increasingly providing support to campus based staff and students working off campus.
The campus based services (Learning Services and ICT and Classroom Support) are located at Avery Hill, Greenwich and Medway. At Medway the Learning Services are delivered from the Drill Hall Library which is a joint resource supporting students and staff from the three Universities with a presence at Medway (Christ Church Canterbury, Greenwich and Kent with Mid Kent College).
Information and Library Services works closely with the Schools and other University Offices to develop services as and when required, and welcomes feedback on all aspects of our operations.
Much of our development work is done through projects. Details of current projects will be provided through the ILS Project webpage in the near future.
