Department of Architecture and Landscape

Faculty of Architecture, Computing and Humanities

Jen Wan joined the department in 2012, and is currently first year Architecture design tutor and part of the team coordinating year 1. Back in 2013 the department celebrated the London Architecture Festival with an ambitious project called the Queens Paper House, where she was part of the core team striving to build the world's largest paper structure, a 9x9x9m paper cube in reference to the Queens House by Inigo Jones. It was an exhilarating fast pace experience in making experimental architecture; a large-scale 1:1 prototype tested through the collaboration of students, engineers and educators alike. Jen has also worked on a wide range of projects from designing bespoke furniture to master-planning a millennium village at the offices of David Morley Architects, Lifschutz Davision Sandilands & SOM. Her architectural education began at The Bartlett UCL, where she received a RIBA Bronze commendation for her final undergraduate project, and a commendation from the school for her final postgraduate project.
