Johanna Hoekstra

Johanna joined the University of Greenwich in 2016. Johanna has an LLM from the University of Bordeaux and an MSc from Birkbeck College. She obtained a PhD at the University of Essex. Johanna previously taught at the University of Essex and at Anglia Ruskin University.

Johanna's main research interests are in international commercial law and private international law. She is especially interested in international contract law, carriage of goods, electronic commerce, and international commercial dispute resolution. Johanna is also interested in business & human rights research and the relationship between public policy and private law. Her current research focuses on the use of non-state rules in international contracts.
