Nevin Mehmet is a Senior Lecturer Public Health and Wellbeing/ Deputy Head of School for Human Sciences at the University of Greenwich.

Nevin joined the university in 2005, with previous experience working as a clinical Aromatherapist within primary care and in individual well-being to support the development and leadership for the BSc Hons Health and Wellbeing programme. Her role would create links within local health and well-being providers to offer students work experience in both statutory and non-statutory organisations.

Nevin gained an MA in Medical Ethics and Law degree in 2012 and has a keen research interest in healthcare ethics and its delivery within the health, paramedic and public health curriculum.

Nevin is a lecturer for Applied Ethics for Health & Public Health; and Principles of Wellbeing courses on the BSc Hons Health and Wellbeing programme.

She is the link tutor in the faculty with UK partner colleges that deliver the University of Greenwich awards and also monitors quality assurance.

  • 2008 - 2011 Associate Programme Leader in BSc Health and Combined Studies at the University of Greenwich
  • 2005 - 2008 Senior Lecturer in Complementary Therapies (Aromatherapy Route Leader) at the University of Greenwich.

Nevin's research interests include ethics education; public health ethics; healthcare ethics and law; health and well-being; and individual and community well-being.
