Sheila is a Senior Lecturer of Adult Nursing in the Department of Adult Nursing & Paramedic Science at the University of Greenwich.

She is currently course coordinator on three adult nursing pre-registration courses and an experienced lecturer on a range of subjects on clinical skills in both pre and post-registration courses including, Long Term Conditions, Acute Care Nursing, and Basic Life Support.

Sheila qualified as a nurse in 1974 and as a midwife in 1975. She has worked across various clinical specialties including medicine, surgery and gynecology. Sheila is also accredited with a Certificate in Management, with over 13 years management experience as senior nurse, deputy director of nursing services and also as subject group leader in the continuing care department.

Sheila moved to nursing education in 1990, and joined the University of Greenwich in 1993. She is a Personal tutor for adult nursing students providing pastoral and academic support throughout their studies. She retains her interest in practice and is Link tutor for primary care placement areas which includes district nurses and community matrons for a local NHS Trust.
