According to Aviation Week & Space Technology researchers at Greenwich performed an evacuation trial using a mock Blended Wing Body cabin.
A team at Greenwich has won a SPARK award, organised by an arm of the Technology Strategy Board, for designing engine parts which can work at over 1000 degrees centigrade according to the Manufacturer.

Ambulance Life reported on the success of Paramedic course at Greenwich.
According to the News Shopper Bexley Care Trust has reappointed Paul Cutler as Non-executive director. He occasionally lectures on social care at Greenwich.
Kerri Wright, Senior Lecturer in Primary Care, was the co-author of a paper in the British Journal of Nursing titled Barriers to effective pain management in sickle cell disease.

The Inter Press Service (IPS) news agency reported Julian Quan’s comments at a Technical Centre for Agricultural & Rural Cooperation (CTA). He said that in principle small-scale farmers can be more efficient per hectare than more commercial farms but the way global trade works it is easier for agribusiness to produce food at a scale that can meet the standards required for global markets.

Kent on Sunday reported on the Upbeat Day marking the inauguration of President Barack Obama.
Medway Adscene publicised an International Women’s Day event which will be held at the campus.
The campus was hosting an Open Day on Saturday 21 February according to the Medway Messenger and Kent Messenger.
Modern Methods of Construction reported that Baudet have supplied bathrooms for the new Student Halls of Residences at the campus.
The next Pembroke Lecture at the campus will be about the prison hulks on the River Medway according to the Kent Messenger and Medway Messenger.

Folkestone
According to Building Design the University Centre Folkestone forms part of the ambitious plans to redevelop the harbour area of the town.
