About Us

The University of Greenwich's high quality teaching, scholarship and research is reflected in the outstanding ratings awarded to our architecture, Environmental Sciences, Land of Construction Management, Housing and Sociology pathways by the Higher Education Funding Council for England.
The recent HEFCE Research Assessment Exercise identified Greenwich as one of the top two new universities in the UK for research. At the forefront of our teaching programme is the group of academic and support staff who have an excellent reputation. They are also involved in a wide range of partnerships with industry and commerce for research and development, short courses and consultancy. These activities span not only the UK but also Europe and beyond.
The University has a rich and diverse postgraduate and undergraduate student body with an even balance of men and women. There are 18,500 students with over 3,300 on postgraduate programmes. A wide range of people take out postgraduate programmes, including students straight from university undergraduate programmes, people taking postgraduate qualifications while working and those looking for a career change.
