Landscape Institute Pathway To Chartership

Preparation Course For The
Landscape Institute Pathway To Chartership

Download Mike McGibbons Notes: Purpose and Process of Planning

15th – 17th July 2009

THE AIMS OF THE COURSE

This residential course aims to prepare candidates for the Landscape Institute Chartership assessment and is intended to consolidate and enhance the students' experience of professional life and knowledge of professional procedures gained through their landscape education, practice and private study.  In addition there will be some discussion of current issues and trends.  It is assumed that students will be familiar with the basic principles involved, particularly those of the English legal system.  Guidance will be given for further study in the form of handouts and reading lists.  The course is inevitably very intensive.

Registration will take place on Wednesday evening followed by a talk and workshop devoted to the codes and professional ethics.  This arrangement gives delegates the opportunity to meet colleagues and old friends in more relaxed circumstances over a buffet supper.

COURSE FEES

The cost of the course, including 2 nights en-suite accommodation in the student village of the Avery Hill campus, meals and course notes is £275 + VAT (£316.25).  The cost for non-residents will be £195.00 + VAT (£224.25) including meals and course notes.

Cancellation fees will be charged to delegates who register and subsequently cancel as follows:-

Less than 48 hours notice        100% of course fee
Less than three weeks notice        70% of course fee
More than three weeks notice        full refund
