Nikki MacLeod

Nicola Macleod

Programme Area Director/Principal Lecturer, Tourism Management and Events Mangement

Experience
Nikki has more than 15 years experience of teaching tourism at the University of Greenwich and the University of North London (now London Metropolitan University) and she is a registered practitioner of the Higher Education Academy. During this period she has taught extensively, contributed to the development of new programmes and undertaken research. She is an External Examiner for Oxford Brookes University and the University of East London.
Research & teaching interests
Nikki is currently engaged in research in the field of heritage trails. Research themes include an audit and mapping of trails provision, trails and the experience economy and the role of trails within local authority cultural policies.  She is also co-writing a text book entitles 40 Key Concepts in Tourism Studies to be published by Sage later in the year.
