Welcome to the School of Education and Training
The School of Education and Training is based in pleasant parkland at our Avery Hill Campus, in south east London, where education programmes have been taught for over 100 years.
The School is one of the most diverse of its kind and runs academic and professional programmes across the field of education, supported by research and scholarship. This work includes:
- Working with partner schools and colleges as one of the largest providers of teacher education in the country with opportunities to qualify to teach in early years, primary, secondary and post compulsory settings
- A range of programmes for individuals aspiring to work with young people in educational support roles, youth and community roles and physical education and sport
- Academic programmes in education and childhood studies
- A portfolio of postgraduate and professional programmes including masters and doctoral study (PhD and EdD)
Our aim is to offer opportunities for professional development to those from a wide range of backgrounds so that they can make a difference to education in their communities.
