Individually tailored In-Service work

The Department of Education, Leadership and Development are always ready to develop bespoke courses for individual schools or colleges in order to meet their particular needs. Typical of these are:

  • middle management courses for schools
  • EAZ support
  • special educational needs
  • pre-Ofsted review and development.

Southern Educational Leadership Trust (SELT)

SELT is a consortium of Higher Education Institutions and Local Education Authorities in the South East of England. The University of Greenwich was a founder member and the headquarters of SELT is located at the University’s Kings Hill Institute.

Currently SELT delivers the NPQH (National Professional Qualification for Headship) programme for the National Leadership College throughout the South East and has also provided Performance Management Consultants for schools in the South East over the past two years in fulfilment of a DfES contract.

Members of the Department are contracted to work for SELT as appropriate. The Training Manager of the NPQH programme is a member of the department.

Student Associates Scheme

The Student Associates Scheme is a national initiative for students interested in gaining classroom experience while pursuing their studies. To find out how your schools can benefit from the scheme, visit the Student Associates Scheme page.
