Civil Engineering
Welcome from the Head of Department
Welcome to our website ... we hope you find it useful and helpful. Please contact me if you have any queries and/or comments. Thank you.
Civil Engineers are the people who work artfully to translate ideas into reality, creating and maintaining the physical environment which allows us to survive and flourish as a society. We all need habitation, transportation, a clean environment and protection against natural risks; we rely on civil engineers to provide this for us.
The Department of Civil Engineering at Greenwich has entered a new era of growth and thriving, as highlighted by the partnership with Atkins, the largest multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in the world, and the Rochester Bridge Trust, one of the oldest charities in the country with an established and widely appreciated track record of investment and support for education, engineering and historic building conservation projects across Kent.
