The School of Engineering has recently won a major equipment grant from the Higher Education Funding Council for a five-axis computer numerical control (CNC) machining centre. We have also obtained an advanced rapid prototyping centre with significant funding and support from Delphi.
Our state-of-the-art digital product development studio is linked to the rapid prototyping and CNC machining centres, as well as a co-ordinate measuring centre for development and manufacturing engineering.
Advanced CAD, CAM, CAE and product lifecycle management (PLM) software tools are available for research and consultancy projects.
