Personal Profile:
My professional background is as a speech and language therapist in the NHS, where I have 20 years experience.
This experience has encompassed clinical work with children who have a range of different difficulties in communication: autistic children, children with physical disability and learning difficulties and children with speech and language delay.
I have significant experience of working in education and social care settings. I have management experience, and have had considerable experience of planning and managing service delivery in Sure Start programmes and newly developing children’s centres.
I have 10 years teaching experience at City University where I have worked as a clinical tutor with postgraduate students of speech and language therapy.
My clinical and research interests have focussed on children from bilingual or multilingual backgrounds, service delivery across different agencies and clinical education.
