Personal Profile:

Lesley is a principal Research Fellow in the School of Health and Social Care at Greenwich University. She joined the University from the Policy Studies Institute (PSI) in September 2009. Her recent research has focused on sexual and reproductive health, in particular that of young people; and welfare to work evaluations. Her other research experience includes family planning, termination of pregnancies, maternal health and refugees and asylum-seekers.

Although primarily a qualitative researcher, Lesley also specialises in mixed methods process studies of randomised controlled trial, and quasi-experimental, evaluations. Her most recent project is a London Sexual Health Programme funded project on LARC adherence amongst young women. She also has experience of training and mentoring community and peer researchers.

Lesley’s publications include work on sexual health, teenage pregnancy, poverty and work; as well as on research methodologies.

Research Interests: sexual health; abortion ; contraceptive choices; reproductive rights; feminist methods and methodologies.
