Continuing Professional Development Courses
The purpose of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is to develop and maintain professional competence throughout a career. The CPD activities described in this prospectus form an integral part of the Agenda for Change. CPD requirements should be identified on the basis of individual and organisational needs.
Courses
Continuing students must make their course choices for the next academic year by 30 April. Students who opt not to return a choice form will be advised that they must accept courses that have available spaces.
NHS applicants
NHS trusts will be advised that in order to facilitate course choices and management, applications should be received by 31 July for a September start, and 15 November for a January start. The School will make decisions about course cancellations on or after 15 August and 1 December. However, this does not preclude you from applying after these dates.
