Having previously studied Mandarin Chinese and French, I gained my Masters in Applied Linguistics in 1998. I have 15 years teaching experience in the UK, China, France and Denmark. In recent years I have spcialised in materials development and developing courses. My research interests lie in language and thought, Chinese conceptualisation of time and language planning.
I am an external examiner for the IELTS exam.
