The School of Humanities and Social Sciences offers a wide range of courses that carry internationally recognised university credits.  Students may study for a full academic year or for the autumn or spring/summer term only.  They may devise an individual Study Abroad Programme appropriate to the progression requirements of their home institution or enrol on 1 of 2 full academic-year programmes: Creative Practice Programme or Literature, Language and Culture Programme.

All courses carry 30 credits, based on a standard British 120-credit year. Students who choose to study for the autumn or spring/summer term only would gain 15 credits for each course studied.  Students may use credits gained towards an award at their home institution, but must confirm that the credits will be transferable.  Students who complete 120 credits at academic stage 2 will also be awarded a DipHE (Diploma in Higher Education) allowing progression onto academic stage 3 in British universities as well as progression in home institutions.

Descriptions of all courses offered can be found in School of Humanities and Social Sciences Course Books 2011-12.

Tuition fees are detailed in the International Students Fees Leaflet, accessible via the International Office web pages.

The three programmes offered are:

Literature, Language and Culture Programme

Enquiries for all three programmes to be directed to Dr Emrys Jones, Study Abroad Programme Leader.
