Fd Media and Creative Arts
This foundation degree provides an opportunity to develop practical and vocational skills and knowledge in media-based creative arts. Skills-based courses and work-based learning are complemented by academic study in a range of contextual disciplines, including Cultural History and Political Communication.
The programme will be attractive to students from diverse backgrounds who aspire to successful careers in the media and media-based creative arts. Applications are welcome from school and college leavers, and from those in relevant paid or voluntary work. Full and part-time modes of study are available; in the latter case, students may progress through the programme at a pace that suits their personal circumstances. In appropriate cases, accreditation of prior learning is available to facilitate more rapid progression.
On successful completion of the foundation degree, graduates may seek employment or may continue studying as part of a Humanities and Social Sciences degree.
