For creative entrepreneurs:
The Department of Creative and Communicative Arts (CCA) brings together programmes devoted to the study of Literature, Theatre and Film, as well as Journalism, the Media and the Creative Industries. Courses include both undergraduate and postgraduate options, incoporating all aspects of the creative arts, as well as a range of possible combinations with other subjects within the School of Humanities & Social Sciences.
We make as much use as possible of our brilliant location, close to London’s theatres, art galleries and cultural events and we provide a friendly and supportive atmosphere to help students make the most of their time at university.
The Creative and Communicative Arts Department also contains two research groups, one incoporating work in English, Drama, and Creative Writing, with particular specialisation in Contemporary Studies on London, Jungian Theory, and Romanticism, and the other focusing on Media Theory and Media Arts Practice, with particular emphasis on multi-media and interdisciplinary study.
