BA (Hons) International Studies: Language and Culture

Programme Leader

Cecile Laval

The International Studies programme offers a multidisciplinary approach to language and culture in an international context. Students also have the opportunity to specialise in one of three distinctive study areas: language and linguistics, history and politics, media and film studies and can select courses from a wide range subjects.

The flexibility of the degree structure allows the student to follow their interests and deepen specialist knowledge. It will help students to acquire invaluable transferable skills such as communicating on an intercultural level, using sources, evaluating evidence and problem solving while situating the language being studied in an intercultural context.

For information on fees and how to apply, see the online prospectus.

For information on accommodation, see our student accommodation pages.

International Studies Combined Degrees

It is also possible to combine International Studies with another subject. For further information and possible combinations, see the online prospectus.
