This course is for beginners. By the end of the course you will be able to hold short conversations in Italian and get by during a short visit to an Italian speaking country.
The proficiency level for this course corresponds to level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Assessment
Assignment 1
In-class assessment of speaking skills during the semester (25%).
Assignment 2
Exam of writing and reading skills using texts in the target language (50%).
Assignment 3
Submission of portfolio. The portfolio is a formative assessment and requires regular work. It includes written, speaking, listening and reading activities (25%).
