If you want to join this course you must have at least a rusty GCSE Level or equivalent. By the end of the first part of this course you will be able to hold more complex conversations with an Italian speaking person and you will probably have the tools to be able to survive longer periods in Italy.

The proficiency level of this course corresponds to level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Assessment

Assignment 1
In-class assessment of speaking skills during the semester (25%).

Assignment 2
Exam of writing and reading skills using texts in the target language (50%).

Assignment 3
Submission of portfolio. The portfolio is a formative assessment and requires regular work. It includes written, speaking, listening and reading activities (25%).
