If you have achieved "A" Level competence or equivalent this is the course for you. You will improve your knowledge of structures and consolidate your vocabulary. By the end of this course you will be able to give an oral presentation in Italian about a topic related to your field of study. This will enable you to spend longer periods of time in Italy.
The proficiency level for of this course corresponds to level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Assessment
Assignment 1
In-class assessment of speaking skills during the semester (25%).
Assignment 2
Exam of writing and reading skills using texts in the target language (50%).
Assignment 3
Submission of portfolio. The portfolio is a formative assessment and requires regular work. It includes written, speaking, listening and reading activities (25%).
