This course is for beginners. By the end of the course you will be able to hold short conversations in Spanish and get by during a short visit to a Spanish speaking country.

The proficiency  evel of this course corresponds to level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Assessment

Assignment 1
In-class assessment of speaking skills during the course (25%).

Assignment 2
Exam - writing and reading skills using texts in the target language (50%).

Assignment 3
Submission of portfolio. The portfolio is a formative assessment and requires regular work. It includes written, spoken, listening and reading activities (25%).
